Virginia Children's Choral Festival

January 17-18, 2026

Registration Information

Are you ready for VCCF 2026? Pre-registration via Google Form is now open and will close October 3, 2025. Please complete the pre-registration form HERE to reflect a commitment from your school (with approval from your administration) and the number of students. Registration is limited to 15 students (grades 4-6) per OAKE member, and space is limited to the first 170 participants. Please be as close as possible to actual numbers of interested and qualifying students as possible to prevent unnecessary waitlisting or exclusion of other schools. Once the 170 limit is reached, schools will be placed on a wait list. Schools placed in the wait list will find out on October 22, 2025 if there is space in the festival for them.

REGISTRATION MATERIALS INCLUDING STUDENT REGISTRATION FORMS AND PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 19, 2025. These materials will be sent to directors once pre-registration is received. If a pre-registered school is not able to honor this timeline, registration will be opened to any waitlisted schools on October 22.

The VCCF 2026 registration fee is $60 per student. Additional cost compared to previous years reflects the increased expense of facilities and personnel needed to provide a quality experience for singers. Once registered, fees are nonrefundable for any reason including illness, change of schedule, and weather-related cancellations. The building being used for this event is a Prince William County Public School. Though the weather has never completely canceled our event, we will follow PWCS cancellations and/or delays. Any festival weekend schedule adjustments will be communicated to directors via text and email.

Choral octavos and a link to rehearsal tracks will be sent to your school once your completed student registration form and a single check has been received. All choral octavos will be provided by VOKE and must be returned in good condition at the rehearsal on Saturday, January 17. Teachers will be held financially accountable for lost or damaged music. Below is a list of the VCCF 2026 repertoire:

1. Dance of the Willow Victoria Ebel-Sabo; 2-part (BriLee Music Publishing Company)
2. Tailor of Gloucester Cyndee Giebler, arr.; 2-part (Colla Voce Music, Inc.)

5. Turn the World Around Harry Belefonte & Freedman/Hayes, arr.; 2-part (Shawnee Press)

Sincerely,

Michelle McCarten & Veronica Kennedy
