First Winter Workshop:

Aileen Miracle

Nurturing Growth Through Assessment

Saturday, January 10, 2026
Virtual

This workshop will explore how to nurture students’ musical growth through assessment, using informal observation, technology, and more. Several assessments for the elementary music room will be shared, from solo singing, to rhythm dictation, to melodic assessment. Sample rubrics and rubric models will also be explored. Attendees will leave the session with many ideas for a variety of grade levels, and a plan for choosing and using assessments.
